Although a lioness is supposed to be the queen of the jungle, her life is not easy. So it's no wonder she's yawning! This piece is done on scratchboard, a panel of kaolin clay coated with black India ink which the artist then uses various instruments to scratch her design into. It is varnished with a matte finish. While it may be framed, it does not require glazing; Scratchboard looks best in a floater frame without glass. This piece is signed on the front with the artist's pseudonym, Swifti, but has the artist's full name on the back.
