This mixed media piece is done with alcohol inks and micron pen on yupo paper, allowing a wonderful, translucent look to the background and the monarch's wings. The painted area measures 8" x 10", and it has a white border of approx. .5" all around. The piece has been varnished with Kamar varnish and treated with a UV protective clear coat.
